I created and rendered a scene, optimizing it to meet VRChat’s performance constraints. I then imported a high-poly character model, further reducing it to a low-poly version to comply with VRChat’s Android platform requirements.

Introduction

  • In this project, I designed and rendered a 3D scene, optimizing it for VRChat’s strict performance requirements across platforms. This involved creating the initial layout, placing textures, models, and lighting objects, and baking occlusion culling, light and reflection probes.

  • Additionally, I imported a pre-purchased character model, customized animations with a state machine, and optimized the model by reducing poly count and removing unnecessary meshes to enhance performance for PC and Android.

  • Through these processes, I ensured visual quality while adhering to VRChat’s optimization standards.
